Ultimate Relaxation with Hot Stones

Before becoming a licensed massage therapist, I spent years as a professional sales rep, working in medical, fitness, and office equipment sales. It was a career that suited me well. I loved meeting new people, selling products that made a difference, and the flexibility the role provided. I felt fulfilled in so many ways.

Although I loved interacting with my sweet customers, like most jobs, there were lots of moving parts and things got stressful.

To keep up with the demands, I found myself needing at least one massage per week. While that may sound luxurious, every massage therapist who worked on me would comment on the tension and knots built up in my body, asking, “Wow, when was the last time you had a massage?” Despite these sessions, I struggled to relax fully. My mind and body were constantly on overdrive.

Once I discovered hot stone massage, and my back, neck, mind, heart, and soul finally found peace.

My first hot stone experience happened on a spontaneous girls’ road trip to Santa Barbara, California, with my friend Nina. We decided to indulge in impromptu massages at a quaint, beachy day spa. My massage therapist, a free-spirited woman, didn’t seem thrilled at first upon feeling my rock-hard back. She suggested a hot stone massage, explaining that the warmth of the stones would deeply soothe my stress, pain, and tension, helping me reach a relaxed state much faster. I agreed to try it out.

The experience was transformative. Just as she promised, I drifted into a deep trance, and the tension in my upper body seemed to melt away almost instantly. I was hooked.

Since that day, hot stones have become an essential part of my massage sessions. When I book a massage for myself I usually request hot stones, even during the summer months!

Beyond stress relief, hot stones help improve sleep, boost immunity, and according to an article by Healthline, they may even alleviate symptoms of autoimmune disease.

When you visit me at A Knead for Wellness, Massage Therapy in Franklin, TN, ask me about basalt stones.

Can you relate to my story? Do you find it hard to unwind, or have stubborn knots that could use some extra warmth and TLC? If so, book a soothing hot stone massage with me today. I’d be honored to help you find your own peace and relaxation.
