Life is hard.
We’ve all heard it, but what does it really mean? For me, those words first hit home in high school when someone recommended The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck. The author begins with: “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths.”
That truth stuck with me.
If we’re lucky, we meet at least one role model who sends us in the right direction—a parent, teacher, or even an author whose words spark change. But no matter how many role models we have, or how much advice we take, life’s messes are inevitable.
At this point in my life, I’ve realized perfection is unattainable. Life is full of highs and lows, and the key is making the best of it. For me, that means being intentional: focusing on what lifts me up, surrounding myself with positivity, and choosing growth over doubt.
That’s why personal development has become such a big part of my life. Books, courses, and inspiring influencers like Brendon Burchard have helped me align with what matters most. His High Performance Habits taught me the value of daily intention, and his GrowthDay app has become a cornerstone of my routine.
I’ve been a GrowthDay user for over three years now, and it’s made a profound difference. Through daily journaling, inspiring lessons, and GrowthGroups, I’ve built habits that keep me focused and resilient.
What I’ve learned: growth is contagious. Surround yourself with positive role models and valuable knowledge, and you’ll rise to meet life’s challenges. It’s not about avoiding life’s difficulties but showing up for them with strength and purpose to get that edge back, as Brendon says.
If you’re interested in exploring GrowthDay, try a free 7-day trial. As Brendon says, let’s grow together and strive to be role models for the next generation.
I’ll be writing more about my GrowthDay experiences so stay tuned…
